Roaming in The Field of Infinite Potential
When we build cities, we pour concrete and steel over natural landscapes. We level hills and superimpose a grid of streets, avenues, housing developments, interstate highways, shopping centers, businesses – and churches upon the land. But we manage to leave an occasional pocket of real estate where we don’t “pour the city.” We call those ‘pockets’ parks and gardens.
In the same way, the ego tries to urbanize our ordinary consciousness. It levels our ‘mountains of higher consciousness,’ tries to dam up the flow of Spirit, and does its best to pour an egocentric grid of materiality upon our inner landscape.
This blog is about improving our inner landscape so we can live joyfully, confidently, faithfully, and prosperously at the speed of our Divine Nature.
If you’re not where you want to be in life, if you’re not manifesting what you think you should manifest, you may want to increase your visits to these pockets of greenery — what we like to call our Spiritual Headquarters or the ‘Field of Unlimited Potential.’
What is "The Field?"
For conversation’s sake, imagine expanding your arms above your head and spreading them into as wide a circle as you can. Imagine this represents the ‘Field of Infinite Potential.’ The Field is limitless, without boundaries, and eternal. It is the Universal Presence, or the Infinite Isness, or Absolute Good, or Divine Consciousness, or whatever term resonates with you!
Within that Field are levels of awareness of what that Field is. You can stay at a very small level of awareness (imagine a tiny circle within your huge circle), or a slightly larger level of awareness (a larger imaginary circle), or larger … or larger … and on and on.
But be wise enough to know that there are many levels of awareness other than your own. Some less expansive, and others more expansive. Some more enlightened and others less enlightened.
One Example of How to Expand Our Understanding
(increase our level of awareness -- create a larger imaginary circle!)
For example, let's explore a verse from the Christian Bible, John 14:2. In the basic literal interpretation of John 14:2 it says, In my Father’s house are many mansions.
As we expand our awareness metaphysically:
- ‘house’ means Consciousness or the Field.
- ‘Father’ means Sacred Unity.
- ‘Many mansions’ comes from the Aramaic root word awanu, which means a space within something – a way station – or temporary resting place.
So, from an expanded level of awareness, we can interpret John 14:2 as meaning: in the limitless, eternalness of Unitive Consciousness, there are many states of awareness or dimensions of being.
You can stay in a restricted level of awareness (remember the tiny circle within the field) with a literal interpretation of John 14:2, or go to that much larger level of awareness (the larger circle) with a metaphysical interpretation. It’s up to you. We recommend opening yourself up to the possibilities!

I love the way you have explained the field from a Christian and Metaphysical perspective. Jesus had to keep his explanations simple for the non-Quantum populace and of course the conventional religious hierarchy. His allegorical approach was just right for both the simple fishermen and equally the Rabbis and intellectuals of the time. I’m guessing that whatever the level of realisation of the truth behind these allegories and parables depends on your intuitive openness and level of Consciousness? If he were here today, I’m sure that he would use every platform and Media outlet to promote his profound philosophy.
The other thing that crossed my mind was that the many states of awareness and dimensions of being that we become aware of and exist in involve the same truth, we are Awareness, we are all one and we are all the “Inner Watcher” that sees through our eyes and lives in us and as us, gaining from the experiences we all have. In her book The Greatest Secret by Rhonda Byrne, she states unequivocally that “You are Awareness; you’re not a person being aware of something. You are Infinite Awareness!”
The only question that arises from that realisation that we are Awareness is WHY? Is the Inner Watcher God and what does God gain from witnessing our lifestyles and experiences?
I feel there is only so far that we can go in our understanding of certain concepts and ideas. I can only get so far with my God Concept and that changes with time, whereas there is no space or time in “The Field” as far as I am aware (again with the awareness!!).
So I guess it’s back to watching this space and that’s both inside and outside, although there is no separation, ouch my head hurts!
